Red Sneakers
Shelly, a survivor of domestic abuse, works as a food delivery driver to support herself and her daughter. Because of the abuse, she has regular C-PTSD episodes. Shelly meets an unhoused veteran who has one request: a cold turkey sandwich. She's excited that she can help until painful memories attempt to thwart her efforts. When a childhood coping strategy no longer offers comfort, she must decide if working through her pain is worth the effort.

Jennifer's roots have always been in storytelling. As a mother, she brought the love of characters to her children through bedtime stories and reading The Hobbit to enraptured fourth-graders. With her BA from Buena Vista University, she’s told stories through photography, sculpture, and creative writing. She loves a good story with a strong female protagonist. Her first screenplay, Dandelion, earned a Quarter-Finalist ranking in the Atlanta Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
