Red Rebel

A poetic portrait of a woman living two parallel lives; as a scientist at a government agency and as an activist in the international climate movement Extinction Rebellion.

As a biologist she sees the severity of the climate crisis but when both her superiors and the politicians they advice refuse to act, she puts her lab coat to the side and strives to raise awareness as a Red Rebel. In an increasingly inhumane world she finds purpose and community in the fight for the climate.

The film features Teresa Solér, a self described "grey haired bitch". With her warmth and self deprecating humor she strongly contrasts the common image of a activist, too often represented by angry balaclava clad youth.
