"Recovered"
“Recovered” is the story of a young woman returning to life after months of treatment, combatting her struggles with anorexia. In the aftermath of a mental and physical healing process, her new task becomes readjusting to the life she knew before, and to the people that she left behind. It is an honest and unfiltered observation of what it is like to deal with life-changing mental illness - and the choice to actively pursue recovery.

Marjorie Thomas is an SFSU School of Cinema graduate, and international alumni to the University of Hull. The latter is a small university in the North of England, where this film was produced. "Recovered" is the first of her short films. It is a project that is very close to her heart. The culmination of difficult life experience, six months hard work, the help of a brilliant but minimal cast, and zero budget.
