Curanderismo is a holistic healing practice based on Latin American indigenous beliefs. Despite its questionable standing in 21st century Western societies, it has not only survived throughout the years but also thrived. In fact, it has expanded around the world, even when hiding from powerful mainstream institutions such as Western medicine.
