I chose to create and direct this documentary film because it was heartbreaking seeing an iconic nightclub of Europe such as Kremlin Lisboa closed since the beginning of the pandemic, without any public or income for so long, and above all seeing the management struggling emotionally and financially.
I came to realize that I could somehow help telling their story through a difficult and unprecedented time.
While watching this film, I wanted the viewer to experience the emotions they sadly went through but also that good things happen to those who don't quit and keep fighting against the odds.
I was so happy for them when they eventually could reopen, watching Kremlin Lisboa to be reborn again, full of people dancing and smiling after so long.
This documentary film will always be very special to me in many ways.
