Rebel districts
Since 2015 the “Resistenze In Cirenaica” (RIC) think tank has been active in the homonymous Bolognese neighborhood merging storytelling and performative arts to unify resistances, promote anti-racism, reflect on the Italian colonial repressed and its impact on the present, such as neo-colonialism and immigration policies. The think tank activities, resulting in collective rituals, aim to exorcise the demons that haunt the streets and evoke the tutelary deities that keep watch over the memory of the past. Through the Bolognese Cirenaica and the African Cirenaica stories and the odonomy guerrilla practices RIC has started a dialogue between past, present and future, which is always just at the very beginning.
