Joe hails from Westchester County, NY, and resides in Brooklyn. He graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in theater, and has subsequently written over two dozen feature screenplays. In 2018 he became the co-winner of the BlueCat Screenplay Competition for Best Feature Screenplay with Death of a Fool, a genre-bending fantasy. In 2019 he won Best Screenplay at the Sydney Indie Film Festival for his dark comedy Meant to Be Broken. Joe has several films due for release this year, including Muna, Layers of Lies, and Death of a Fool. He has also directed 2018’s psychologically confounding horror Blood Falls, which was a Finalist at the Out of the Can Film Festival, and was nominated for “Best Humor” at the Independent Horror Film Awards and “Most Terrifying” at the Top Indie Film Awards.
Sometimes seemingly small actions can have dire, irreparable consequences. The choices we make can have a ripple effect, and alter the very fabric of our souls. Another prevalent theme in Reap is that things are not always what they appear, including what we see reflected in the mirror.
