Director Statement

Ready... or Not? was quite a unique experience for the team. First, it was a 48 Hour Film Project, so it already had its challenges, but we also had a lot of scheduling conflicts for the contest weekend. No matter who we called, our regular film team just wasn't available. It was looking fairly bleak, but knew we had to find a way to make an entry we were proud of.

In the film, you will see Kielynn Tally, an actress we utilize quite often in our films in the featured role, but you'll also find our amazing and enthusiastic children making up the rest of the cast. I even had the rare opportunity to be in front of camera on this one!

We were incredibly fortunate to have the multi-talented Jenifer Meyer and our good filmmaking friend Kerri Brown from Georgia assist us for the shoot. I ended up running camera, lights, and audio myself during the shoot, so adding acting to the list was a fun challenge I hadn't accomplished before simultaneously.
