In this 21st Century, in our Society, people are still living in thousands of years old tradition and misbelief of WITCHCRAFT and BLACK MAGIC. Because of these misbeliefs and old customs, in various rural parts of Nepal, innocent women are being tortured and killed. Many social crimes and incidents are being occurred time to time due to misbelief of WITCHCRAFT and BLACK MAGIC practices.
This film is made based on true incident occurred in a village named Madi of Chitwan District, mid-eastern Nepal in February 17, 2012.
This film is about an innocent young and very poor widow woman who was accused being a WITCH, by the villagers and, while she was working in her cattle farm in one morning, suddenly she was attacked and tortured inhumanly and burned alive. Therefore, in order to stop such improper customs and practice and to avoid such inhuman incidents in future, we have decided to make this film for public awareness and education.
We want to show this film in various parts of the world for raising funds and help for public awareness in order eradicate such misbelief and bad traditional practice.
