Dr. Tytianna Ringstaff serves as the Director of the Digital Teaching and Learning (DTAL) Center at Simmons College of Kentucky, where she manages the online teaching and learning hub. Her tenure at Simmons includes roles as a Curriculum Designer, instructor, and director across various academic programs, such as the Black Film Institute, during which she served as the Director and Producer of the pilot episode, "Raising Simmons: Treading the Lanes" (2023) focused on the untold story of the first jockeys—all African American—who raced in and won the Kentucky Derby, sponsored by Apple and the Propel Center.
Dr. Ringstaff— CEO and Founder of Honey Tree Publishing— is also the author and illustrator of more than eight books, including the curriculum-based children's book series titled "Sweet Pea and Sugar Tea's Country Family Adventures," "The Healing Tree," "#Am I Next?," and "When Hip Hop Met Poetry: An Urban Love Story."
Dr. Ringstaff is a proud curriculum designer and faculty member of the Propel Learn Microcredential Program, “Pocket to Production: Creating Content from the Streets to the Studio,” and a fellow of the inaugural Propel HBCU Faculty Fellows Academy and the 2023 Alex Trebek Legacy Fellowships. Her professional work has also been featured by APPLE (link here). She holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Louisville.
