A graduate of the Los Angeles Film School Marc spent the last twelve years pioneering digital filmmaking while creating corporate web content and honing his diverse skillset in picture and sound.
In 2015 Marc directed "If I Only Knew" a short film about a young mother's traumatic abortion. Marc would go on to write and direct "The Rapist", a Neo-noire short film about a woman hiding a deep secret from her detective husband. That film would lead to the production of his feature directorial debut "50K", a crime-thriller starring Lydia Hearst (Cabin Fever 3, Z-nation) and Kent Harper (Surveillance, The Sighting).
Today Marc is adamantly taking his film career to the next level by producing a slate of ten high-octane thriller and horror features with his producing partner Sherry Robb of The Robb Company.
Having produced and directed corporate content for over a decade I felt compelled to try a different approach to marketing a brand. What initially began as a short brand film took on a life of its own and the character of 'Francine' began to create her own narrative.
Finding a way to insert the brand message into compelling dramatical context was a challenge. Having it confined to one location forces you to think outside the box while feeling confined to shooting in one. Lucky for me I live near Peter's Canyon Hike trail which allowed me to open up the story and use the uphill run as a metaphor for climbing a mountain and 'getting over' Francine's past and completing her character arc.
Like every other project this was a learning experience. I met my own challenges, made new friends, and had the pleasure of working with a passionate and dedicated cast and crew. I am very happy with how this film turned out.
