Rachel is a director, writer, actor and songwriter based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. She is currently a 2nd year student of the BA Theatre & Drama Studies degree in the Cork School of Music. She began making films at a very young age, but her passion started to grow when she was 15. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to have some of her work recognised at film festivals over the years. Some of her accomplishments include; Awarded Best Music Video at First Cut! Film festival in 2023, nominated for Best Artistic Direction at the Fresh Film Festival finals in 2023, awarded Best Performance at Rochester Teen Film Festival in 2024 with a short film called ‘Cúinas’, which was also awarded with an Audience Award at Fresh Film Festival in 2024.
Her passion for film has led to her involvement as a facilitator with SONAR, a youth film group based in Killarney. She has also been involved with many of their projects - which have received local and national acclaim.
