In this film, I delve into the complex and often divisive subject of race, situated within a region where identity conflicts have given rise to brutal wars. The narrative unfolds against a backdrop of profound historical layers, intricately woven to explore the essence of race in this particular part of the world. The film is meticulously structured to intertwine a weighty historical narrative on race with the firsthand accounts of the individuals inhabiting this region.

My objective is to facilitate a discourse on race that transcends the dominant trans-Atlantic and colonial narratives which typically characterize discussions on this topic. By focusing on the lived experiences and personal perspectives of the people in this region, I aim to bring forth a more nuanced understanding of race. Through this approach, I seek to challenge preconceptions and offer audiences an opportunity to engage with the intricacies of racial dynamics outside the confines of conventional narratives, fostering a deeper and more empathetic comprehension of this intricate subject matter.
