Race Be Run
This short documentary follows Jonathon Nabbs as he dons a Superman costume and runs solo along Canada’s highways to raise funds for cancer charities. Motivated by the loss of his parents, Jon’s journey is more than a physical feat—it’s a quiet meditation on grief, resilience, and the path he’s taken since their passing. Through reflective moments and sweeping imagery, the film explores how one man transforms personal loss into a mission of hope, inspiring others to gather their strength and run while they can.

Together, they aim to craft works that not only move hearts but also shed light on the human experience in meaningful and thought-provoking ways.
When we first met Jon Nabbs, we were immediately struck by his openness and humility. Despite the extraordinary journey he’s undertaken and the profound loss that drives him, Jon carries himself with a quiet strength and an unassuming nature that deeply resonated with us.
This film isn’t just about a man running across Canada in a Superman costume; it’s about the weight of his steps—steps filled with grief, resilience, and hope. Over the three days we spent filming, we found ourselves reflecting not only on Jon’s mission to raise funds for cancer charities but also on the universal themes his journey represents: love for those we’ve lost, the power of vulnerability, and the drive to turn pain into purpose.
Our aim was to create a film that mirrors Jon’s spirit: raw, reflective, and human. Through his story, we hope viewers are inspired to confront their own challenges with courage and to recognize that even the smallest gestures can ripple into something extraordinary.
