Raahein Aur Bhi Hain

Sanjiv Batra , a man in his 60’s and a busy senior executive in a corporate , lost his beloved wife to cancer about a year ago. He has not been able to reconcile and misses her a lot.
Neeru Batra, the wife was a popular lady, vibrant, fashionable, and sometimes childish.
Mohit, 26 years and Aayushi, 22 years, the son, and the daughter respectively are equally at a loss to understand why their mom had to go so easily.
While in this state Sanjiv gets in touch with a working lady Anjana Panikar in her 50s, who has been single for 4 years as she lost her husband to a sudden heart attack. She has a son, Alok , who is in a plush job based out of USA. He keeps persuading his mother to find a partner.
Sanjiv though disinterested in beginning gets impressed with Anjana’s knowledge, maturity and rational thought process. Both start meeting and feel attracted towards each other. However, both agree they would not take a single step forward without the consent of their children.
Sanjiv is in an awkward situation, how to open up to his children. One day he gathers courage and opens up. Aayushi immediately consents rather with excitement, however, Mohit is not only against but vehement about it How can someone take our mom’s place , he says.
While a state of confusion and anxiety prevails in the family , story takes a turn when brother and sister meet an “energy healer”, an established medium who connects soul to soul. They get a shock of life when Neeru’s soul talks to children and she clearly recommends that their dad should go ahead in his new affair.
Mohit cools down a bit, Aayushi gets further convinced, still they do not recommend a formal marriage but a ‘live in’ relationship for their dad and their new mom.
Sanjiv & Anjana readily agree on this proposal and a consensus is reached over a dinner. The 3 children would throw a party in 2 weeks’ time when Alok is also in India and make a public announcement about union of Sanjiv and Anjana. All of them raise their glasses and cheer for a new found direction for their parents.
