I'm Jude Smith-D'Oliveira, a young filmmaker from the GTA. I've always wanted my films to have a feeling of mystery and thought behind it. Leaving the viewer wanting more and asking questions, talking about movies is my favourite beside watching new releases! From the start movies have always been my escape but making them only pulls me in further. As I got older, an addictive personality grew as things in my life with family and my home situation spiraled.
Addiction is my biggest theme across my many few short films because of the way I feel it applies to so many different aspects of my life. Relationships, substances and distractions are things we take and never let go. Everyone is fighting their own addiction to escape into another and I find that human, so my stories reflect that instinct we all have in us to find our escape.
