REVOLT
'Revolt' is a story that depicts how women actually dwells her life in this world. For thousand of years together, patriarchal society has confined the lives of women;restrictions being imposed from every corner and every aspects - the youth, the male co-workers, the bus drivers, the bigots preaching decency in the name of religion, the police, the film makers, the masked politicians and who not. Each of them have been continuously putting obstacles as heavy as rocks to stop women from progressing, suppressing their voice. In this everyday reality, when the path of a woman is deliberately obstructed, when the woman is circumscribed in a vicious circle, there is no other option but to break free.The short film'Revolt' has been created based on the story of women taking their turns.

Aparajita Sangita is an independent filmmaker. She has been involved in filmmaking for the last 10 years. After completing Honors in History, she studied the Japanese language from 'Kazaguruma Nihongo Gakko, Saitama' in Japan.
Her short films are Realization-1, Realization-2, Reality, Fear of Men, Revolt and Separation.
Her Documentary films are 'The New Normal', 'Sonali Ansher Dusmay', 'Paper Flowers' and Portrait of a Director: Autobiography of Tanvir Mokammel.
Her short films 'Fear of Men', 'Revolt' and 'Separation' have already won 19 awards at various international film festivals.
