Mahshid Alavi is an Iranian artist based in Leeds. She began learning dance at the age of seven, training in different styles. When she was a teenager she discovered a deep passion for Iranian dance when she studied with one of the most respected choreographers in Iran.Mahshid moved to London in 2017 to do her masters in Media, with the aim of learning skills in moving images to ultimately use them for creating dance art work. She has begun working in film production and developing her skills in film and photography. She is currently focused on making dance films.
