REEL PITCH CHALLENGE

Life of making a film? Blood, sweat, tears & fundraising!

The Audience Awards is here to help. Filmmakers from around the globe are invited to submit a pitch video of your film or web series and an industry jury + the global audience will select their favorites to award a share of $28,998 to four deserving film projects.

Whether you are in pre-production, production, post-production or distribution & outreach with your film, you are invited to submit your crowdfunding video, trailer or film pitch to one of the four categories in REELPITCH to compete for the total of $28,998 in cash and prizes. The winning films will screen at The International Audience Awards Film Festival at the Laemmlee Theater in North Hollywood, April 1 - 3, 2017.

All of the filmmakers who are a part of our festivals gain invaluable exposure including press and social media engagement. Anyone may submit to this film festival, but videos are judged for admittance into the festival before audience & jury voting opens.

Videos will be judged on a score of 1-3. Videos that score a 1 will not be allowed to compete in the contest.

ABOUT THE FILMSTRO PRIZE: FilmStro offers the world's first soundtrack creation studio. Score your film and make a masterpiece! In addition to the prize money for your film, the first place audience award & jury selection each will win a Filmstro soundtrack license worth $1999 for movies with a $1M budget or less. Winners will receive an email with license details.

RULES FOR REELPITCH

Any pitch video 10 minutes and under is eligible for this video contest.

You have until July 4, 2016 at 11:59 pm to submit your video in one of four categories: Pre-production, production, post production or distribution & outreach.

One video can be submitted to only one category. But a filmmaker may submit up to 4 different videos in up to 4 different categories.

You should select the category by your film’s current production phase.

The films begin competing ion the first round in their category on July 5, 2016 at 9:00 am MT. The top 3 films in each category + 2 jury selected films in each category move on to compete for the $25,000 in the finals round. Audience voting for the first round ends at 9:00 pm MT on July 11, 2016.

The finals voting round opens July 12th MT at 9am and closes July 18th at 9pm MT.

Prizes: 1st place Audience Awards video wins $10,000. The 2nd place most voted video wins $2500. The 1st place jury selected film wins $10,000 and the jury’s honorable mention wins $2500 awarding a total of $25,000 to four videos.

You must have the authority to submit the video for our consideration.

Your film will be viewable to the general public for voting purposes.

You must have obtained all the necessary rights (including music rights), consents, authorizations and licenses covering the film. There must not be pending or anticipated litigation regarding the film.

The Audience Awards will send the payment via Paypal within 30 days of the video contest ending to the email address provided during site registration.

Payment is due in full at time of registration and there are no refunds.

Please read all rules and terms before submitting your film.

The film must not include hate speech, excessive violence, slanderous or libelous claims, or any other actionable offenses.

The audience can vote everyday for the films they like once a day during the video contest dates.

The film must not (i) infringe any rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or IP rights, including any music-related rights, (ii) be defamatory or indecent, and (iii) violate any applicable laws.

On Voting: Each account login may only be used by one person - a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted. You must be a human. Accounts registered by "bots" or other automated methods are not permitted. You are not allowed to purchase votes. One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account. You may not vote for someone else. If you are caught cheating and you have a film in a film and video contest, your film will be deleted from the contest and will not be eligible to receive the prizes.

It was probably my fault but I didn't realize it was an online competition where you had to get votes for your pitch. I thought judges would judge on it and that's all we needed.
