In a world where everyone wears masks, the protagonist, Peter, is the only one without one.
However, under the pressure of stares and judgments from the masked people, he is forced to abandon his individuality and put on a mask (losing his identity).
In order to survive within the crowd, Peter conforms. But is this truly the path to happiness for Peter?
