Director Biography - Jaimeen Adhia

Jaimeen Adhia is a filmmaker and a writer. Having dabbled in fiction with zero-budget shorts before, this is his first attempt at the documentary format.

His work is preoccupied with exploring themes like human nature, urban alienation, determinism, transcendentalism, self-discovery and the clash between western influence & longstanding traditions of India.

"Questionnaire" is a time capsule of sorts -- a group of friends at a film school in India are all asked the "Proust Questionnaire", a set of questions that is said to reveal the true nature of the person answering them.

The people, their conflicting opinions, their aspirations, their memories, the lens through which they look at the world, the humour, and the pop culture references form a beautiful tapestry depicting human nature, life and the zeitgeist at that point in the filmmaker's life.
