Quentin Trélet is a filmmaker based in Paris.
He developed an interest in cinema and architecture at an early age. It was at the Paris LV School of Architecture that he made his very first short films. These first attempts were an opportunity to play with architecture, to give it meaning and to make it a character in its own right.
His films are categorized as "Cinema and Architecture". In this respect, he draws inspiration from films such as Playtime, Lost in Translation and Blade Runner.
In 2024, he created the Openframe company and, with the help of other architect-cinephiles, directed the feature-length fiction film New Squam City: a story of investigation and murder, in which a city of skyscrapers plays a predominant role...
Fueled by ecological concerns, his work explores the impact of our architecture on humans and our environment. Memory, recollection and identity are also themes that run through the director's work.
He runs the Openframe production company and makes his films in close collaboration with architect and cinematographer Thomas Powles.
