Queer Interpretations

"What is queerness to you?" This is the question I asked my queer friends and community when I began this project. Through the camera lens, I captured the intimacy and beauty of queerness, and I overlayed my subjects' handwritten interpretations of what queerness meant to them across the images. In addition to other effects created through photo editing and Photoshop, I present a series of images that lets viewers take a peek into our lives and experiences not just as queer people, but as individuals with a story to tell. This project is all about queer visibility and not being afraid to be loud and take up space, and I hope that this series speaks to you regardless of your gender or sexuality!

(As I can't upload more than 6 images, please have a look at all the series' images up close via the Instagram or Google Photos links I've added. There is also a longer project and process description in the Instagram caption!)
