Qais Pasha is a filmmaker, artist and media specialist based in Toronto. He grew up in Pakistan and immigrated to Ontario as a teenager. He is a graduate of Carleton and Ryerson Universities. He is currently employed as a Senior Ad Operations Specialist for Corus Entertainment. He was one of 12 filmmakers selected for the CBC diverse creators workshop in 2016, received the Corus diverse voices scholarship at Hotdocs 2017 and was one of the E20 chosen for ReelWorld film festival 2017. He has directed three shorts docs for the CBC and numerous prize winning short fiction films. He won the DOC Breakthrough grant at Hotdocs 2019. He has received funding and support for this film from Rogers, NFB, Toronto and Ontario Arts Councils.
