Director Statement

As I have mostly created comedy films, Pursuit is unique for me as I have never created a film focusing exclusively on dramatic elements. I have always had a passion for serious dramas, but I believe I am at the level professionally to pull off a very heartfelt, gritty story. Pursuit is a film that embraces themes of family dysfunction, reflection and regret. The anxiety of losing a loved one has been constant in my life, I wanted to make a film that explores this fear of losing connections with those you love. Pursuit tackles a lot of complicated feelings and themes I have wanted to explore through my own perspective and experience.
