Psicoembutidos, B Side
Psicoembutidos, b side explores the artistic creation process through the experience of an aging theatre company which faces a new challenge.
Sharing the creation and staging process of the stage butchery Psicoembutidos, actresses, actors and audience let us in to the B side of that story: The secrets of the body and
its decay, the personal and shared fears, the relationships with each other, their transformation and their experiences with death.
We contemplate a tower of Babel made out of flesh, we hear an incomprehensible choir, Psicoembutidos B Side is a journey through the metallic tube of the digestive system
leading to the dark amphitheater where the dissection of an exquisite corpse takes place.

I've always been interested in the artistic creation process. To be near Mexico´s oldest theatre company in the moment that a new artistic director arrived helped to talk about it.
The new director proposed to break the company's boundaries presenting them a mise en scene that implied to be naked in front of an audience 50 cm. apart from them.
There was a serious discussion about nakedness in theatre, about personal values and their relationship with death. I wanted to put this discussion to the audience and make a
reflection about the mentioned issues.
