Protect Our Future
The film “Protect Our Future” is a direct and emotional call for climate action. It inspires to find a responsible approach to our environment - without pointing the finger. Mountain sportswoman and POW athlete Ana Zirner tells her personal story and advocates breaking one’s own habits. Contrary to the widespread expectation that one must constantly refrain from doing something in order to be “perfectly sustainable”, together with POW she wants to motivate each and every one of us to actively protect the climate in the spirit of “imperfect advocacy”. In addition, glaciologist Dr. Christoph Mayer contextualises the current developments in the Alps within the global climate catastrophe and provides scientific background knowledge.
The powerful images of the Alps show: Climate protection is the self-care of mankind. In this regard, it is also about the survival of our “playgrounds” in nature.
