Prospettive - International Film Festival is well known and the festival promoting films that tells the story of cultures of cities. Held in historical city of Catania, the festival will feature films of both long form and short films telling stories of the culture and identity of urban suburbs, stories of contexts, people and communities. Prospettive is a project by Trame di Quartiere, winner of the Cineperiferie tender promoted by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, with artistic direction by Maria Arena and organizational direction by Massimo Finistrella.

Each day will be dedicated to a significant theme for the neighborhood and the city and the self-representation of the cultures and traditions of communities. Around the films, meetings will be proposed in which active realities in the city of Catania will be involved together with other guests such as directors, teachers, institutions, scholars, citizens and personalities who will offer insights and testimonies on the topics addressed. The event will take place within the San Berillo neighborhood, where a screening space will be set up inside Palazzo de Gaetani and various spaces for outdoor screenings in the streets and squares of the neighborhood.
