Director Statement

I created 'Prosper (2022)' as a college project last year, with no intention of expanding on this small periodic franchise I had created. It was, however, very well received. I had a great time writing, directing, and filming it. I realized that I had so many resources available to me that many other young filmmakers do not, so ignoring the opportunity to expand on what I had started would be discourteous to those with less. The Pirates of St Piran are an amazing group of unique people; it has been a pleasure to travel around Cornwall with them, telling my story and learning about the county where I live. I'm not sure what will happen to 'Prosper' after it premieres and runs through film festivals. However, if given the opportunity to make a sequel, would definitely jump at the chance!
