Director Biography - Yasin Onurcan Özerol

He was born on February 19, 2000 in Istanbul. He entered Işık University Cinema and Television Department with a scholarship, as he was interested in cinema and especially acting from an early age. He acted and directed his first short film during his university education. Later, he shot his second short film and worked as a set assistant in some short films. He wants to continue to develop himself in the field of short film directing as well as screenwriting and acting.

Director Statement

I wanted to be in front of the camera from an early age. In addition to the camera, the world of the set and the process of film processing have always been a subject that intrigued me. For this reason, I followed my dreams and chose the cinema department at the university. When I got into the business, I understood very well at university that it is a very difficult profession, but the best part of this difficult profession was that it ignited my passion for cinema. It is a great pleasure to display the thoughts you have written in your head and the stories in front of the camera.
