Gal Ron was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. His parents immigrated to the US from Israel to attend University of Alabama, and stayed in the country after Gal's older brother was born. He spent his childhood watching countless movies and making short films with his high school friends; Gal is a graduate from Belmont University, majoring in Motion Pictures with a minor in Marketing. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado, where he works as Head of Media Marketing for RD Industries while screenwriting and directing short films and music videos in his spare time.
"Prom Posers", my senior thesis film, is the product of 8 months of hard work by a team of dedicated and creative student filmmakers. We all had the singular goal of making a funny and heartfelt crowdpleaser that reminded us of the classic buddy comedies we loved growing up, such as "Wedding Crashers" and "Superbad". The process of making this film was fun, challenging, and meaningful all at once, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
I truly hope you enjoy the film.
Sincerely,
Gal
