Profound Sadness -Nubilis- Or better said: I Married my Mother.

My reflection falls on my mental health, and it is complex to know that my sadness or joy arises from the close relationship with my mother and her memories…
It is in this legacy of narratives and experiences that she shares with me that I explore our relationship using the family album as a discursive tool and intervening in it. I also accompany this exercise with documentary photography of our coexistence to write a narrative script as a photo essay and put together a short docudrama that helps me reinterpret my discomfort in memory.

This is why I have not stopped feeling confused, lost and with enormous sadness because during the time of the impact of covid, fear has personified itself in me, it has enveloped me and the fear of losing my mother finds me, as part of the experience that surrounds me and my conscious self.

In this video, in addition to photography, I integrate a narrative script in this docudrama in voice-over and subtitles with some audio effects that I have developed during the last year so that my mother, who, as she suffers from glaucoma and memory loss, can understand what our story is about.
