Profiles In: Art
Presented as a found educational film from the 1970s, 'Profiles In: Art' documents the creation of a realist painting from the first brush stroke to the last through the use of stop motion photography. A brief prologue provides an overview of the artist's background and creative process to lend context to the animated portion of the film.

Though I've worked in "the industry" for over 30 years, 'Profiles In: Art' is my first film.
Given the perilous state of my country and the world at large, I wanted to make a film that gives the viewer a respite from the outside world and simply see something beautiful unfold before their eyes - enveloped in the look and feel of the educational films I grew up watching as a kid in school.
