Prisoner of Beauty
"Prisoner of Beauty" is a hauntingly beautiful visual poem that takes you on a journey to a remote tropical island, where one castaway is given an unusual task.
Through stunning visuals and evocative music, with themes of loss, hopelessness, tempered with hope. The castaway becomes a prisoner of the Island's natural beauty, struggling to find meaning and purpose in his isolation.
This 22-minute film is a meditation on the human condition and a reflection on the power of nature to both captivate and destroy us. Get ready to be transported to a world of stunning imagery and immersive soundscapes that will leave you wondering how free you actually are.

Born on an island, and continuing the tradition now on Maui, Everett Peacock is an accomplished drone pilot, and filmmaker of some repute, but not too much. Films include "Whistle for my Horses", "Whale Tale" and "Prisoner of Beauty", all filmed on Maui and/or Lana'i.
A novelist as well, he has published 14 books - all reflecting decades of research as a lobster diver, surfer, air traffic control radio operator, airline flight operations tech, ice cream truck driver, oilfield worker, elementary school teacher, driver for a wedding florist, dishwasher, Unicom tower operator at a small Hawaiian airport, bicyclist, hiker, and on rare occasions still, a poet.
The biggest challenge for me in storytelling is to translate a feeling in such a way so that it can then be communicated it to anyone.
