Preposterous Notions
It’s a preposterous notion, on a dark cloudy day
I’m riding in the foothills because I must get away,
Tamarack treeline, against a gun grey sky,
My life is changing , and I’m wonderin’ why.
Chorus: Time to ponder, Time to confess, Time to
right the things that are wrong, more or less
Tamarack treeline, I can see four days
Preposterous notions, preposterous ways
When I wake in the morning, the storm clouds are gone,
I ride from the foothills with my tamarack song
Train wreck of feelings rise over me,
Preposterous notions, well they part like the sea.
Time to ponder, time to progress, Time to right
the things that are wrong, more or less
Tamarack treeline, I can see for days
Crimson sunrise and no more wondering why
My life is changing gonna give it a try
My life is changing gotta give it a try.

TWA (Tom) Kennedy has been a multi-instrumentalist and played in a number of rock, country, and roots bands. Never really recovering from the British Invasion, he continues to play a variety of music as a trio, in various groups, and on his own. This is his first foray into his own compositions.
Preposterous Notions is a song of renewal. An unnamed cowboy heads for the foothills to rid himself of the preposterous notions standing in his way.
