Prayer

The documentary "Prayer" is a film about destiny and belief. The film uses an ordinary family as a clue to record their lives. The owner of this family is Long Engui, and one son is Longqiuqin. He is disabled and cannot take care of himself. All three daughters have been married. Long Engui, who is already in his seventies, is taking care of Long Qiuqin and is living a difficult life. In order to pray for smooth and happy life, Long Engui and his relatives held a sacrificial event, which is "Worship ghosts" Hope the gods help change his life.

Director: Shan Gui
Born in Guizhou in 1989, he graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree. Currently lives and works in Guizhou. Producer, screenwriter, independent film director. Representative works include the documentary "The Wind Blows the Country Trees Gently Shake", "My Generation", "Neon Cars". Short film works "Under the Afterglow" and "Sickle Bay".
