Prashant Manohar Bartakke is a self-taught filmmaker from Mumbai, India — an actor, writer, director, and producer. His short film Voice won Best Short Film at SWIFF 2023, and he earned three Honorable Mentions at the Wide Screen Film and Music Video Festival 2024 for three consecutive short films. With 26 international official selections across eight short films, his work has been screened globally — in America, London, Australia, and Canada, both online and offline.
An instrumentation engineer by education (2011), Prashant transitioned into filmmaking with his debut short Glad To Meet You in 2014. He has worked as a script supervisor on the Marathi feature film Wagherya (2015) and as chief assistant director for the Zee Marathi TVC Naktichya Lagnala Yaych Ha! (2017). Voice, written in 2018 and directed in 2022, reflects his deep commitment to storytelling and casting integrity.
