Prakriti Aur Paryavaran ki Shaan Titli Rani
Synopsis of the film:
Butterflies and moths are a vital part of our wildlife heritage and are valuable as sensitive indicators of the health of our environment. The stark fact is that butterflies and moths continue to decline at an alarming rate. For many species, we know what needs to be done to halt the decline and support recoveries. Our work will benefit other wildlife and the ecosystems upon which all life depends. Falling numbers are an early warning to all wildlife that cannot be ignored. The population of common butterflies has dropped critically due to pollution, increasing use of Insecticide etc. Even though some pollinators are surviving with limited resources in critical conditions, fulfilling the need of innocent pollinators is the responsibility of the citizen especially children. Creating awareness and make everyone realize the criticality of situation, is the aim of this film.

Brief Bio-Data of the director:
Sound Engineer from Bangalore, started my career with south Indian films and moved to Doordarshan, Lucknow and worked with DD’s First Tele-Serial “Bibi-Natiyonwali(बीबी नातियोंवाली). Later I worked at State Institute Of Educational Technology Lucknow, UP from 1986 to 2018 as Cameraman & Editor. Green surroundings provides an opportunity for some amazing observations. Exposure to a wide variety of plants and birds is source of inspiration for my films. Native birds as well as pollinators visit our garden, I captured their activities and produced many films for All India Audio/Video Educational film festivals conducted by NCERT/CIET, New Delhi / Prakriti Film Festival/ National Science Film Festival and Competition and received several awards.
Birds and pollinators are part of food chain, they are carnivores here. They provide services to humans through their interactions with the environment, many ways that birds provide ecosystem services.
Fulfilling the needs of these innocents is the responsibility of every citizen. We needs to protect them and minimize the hazards of technology on them.
