Director Biography - Sergio Galdámez

(ENGLISH) Sergio Galdámez was born in Puebla, Mexico in 2001. Since he was 12 years old, he started creating his own short films and stories, developing an immense passion for filmmaking and artistic expression.

He has directed and produced over 20 short films, several music videos for mexican artists of great renown and is currently in development of his first full-length feature film.

(ESPAÑOL) Sergio Galdámez nació en Puebla, México en 2001. Desde los 12 años comenzó a crear sus propios cortometrajes e historias, desarrollando una inmensa pasión por el cine y la expresión artística. Ha dirigido y producido más de 20 cortometrajes, varios videos musicales para artistas mexicanos de gran renombre y actualmente se encuentra en desarrollo de su primer largometraje.

Director Statement

(ENGLISH) This day is one of the most vivid memories that I have. I remember perfectly how the protests began and the severe indignation that these events caused in the city. That morning I got up early, grabbed my camera and had one goal in mind: To help by doing the thing I know how to do best... filming. This short has helped raise awareness on the events and is one of my proudest pieces of work.

(ESPAÑOL) Este día es uno de los recuerdos más vívidos que tengo. Recuerdo perfectamente cómo comenzaron las protestas y la severa indignación que estos hechos provocaron en la ciudad. Esa mañana me levanté temprano, agarré mi cámara y tenía un objetivo en mente: ayudar haciendo lo que sé hacer mejor ... filmar. Este corto ha ayudado a crear conciencia sobre los eventos y es uno de mis trabajos de los que más estoy orgulloso.
