Portland Deaf Film Festival is accepting submissions for our event held on September 17th!

Our mission is to create a space that is welcoming to all Deaf, DeafBlind, Coda, Hard of Hearing, Deaf+, so we can celebrate Deaf art through film and bring more attention to Deaf filmmakers. We are all community members and volunteers organizing the second Deaf film festival for Portland. You can see our mission statement and other videos in ASL on our facebook page.

Rules & Terms

REQUIREMENTS

1.The film must heavily feature actors who are Deaf/ HOH/DB/Coda. Directors can be Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, DeafBlind and CODA. Directors can be Deaf, DeafBlind, Deaf+, Hard-Of-Hearing or CODA. (Black, Indigenous, Latino, Latina, Latinx, Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander, Polynesian, African and LGBTQIA++ creator's submissions prioritized)

2.Film should have majority of dialogue in a Signed Language

3.All dialogue must be captioned or subtitled

4.Please submit all films through FilmFreeway

5.All other communications can be sent to deafpdxfilmfest@gmail.com
