It is a stirring and dynamic time for Dance for Film, and Portland Dance Film Fest (PDFF) is at the forefront of the Dance for Film scene in Portland. Showcasing curated submissions from around the world during a multi-night festival, PDFF provides a screen and an audience for artists who are making relevant and inspired Dance for Film. Portland, OR is known for its culture that advocates for and uplifts the arts and thus is an exciting city to present the ongoing innovations of Dance for Film.

After our first year, we realized it felt backwards to try and fit films into cookie cutter awards. This year we will create awards for the films that we feel are most outstanding.

Portland Dance Film Fest invites dance filmmakers from around the world to submit their minis, shorts, long, & documentary dance films for PDFF’s second annual dance film festival. We will be looking for originality, innovative cinematography, and unique choreography. We are open to animation, documentary, & most forms of dance on camera. If you have questions about your submission please contact us.

Even though I couldn't be present at the festival, I can see they made great effort to make a nice event. To receive a t shirt at home of the festival was a very kind gesture!
