Port Royal is known as the mythical pirate city sunk by an earthquake in 1692. For the first time, Jamaicans themselves carry out an archaeological excavation in the sunken city, coordinated by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust (JNHT).

Director Biography - Alberto Soto Villalpando

Born in CDMX (1985), he graduated in Design and Visual Communication from UNAM. Since 2012, he has specialised in photography and audiovisual production on anthropological topics, such as archaeology and ethnography, for the study and dissemination of cultural heritage. He currently collaborates with the INAH's SubAquatic Archaeology Department.
