The Association Argentario Art Day in collaboration with the the Municipality of Monte Argentario, promotes Pop Corn Short Film Festival, a short film competition opens to all national and international video makers.
The Festival includes two categories:
- Corti d'Autore: for professionals
- Opere Prime: open to all the debut film makers
This category may also include collective works done by
schools and associations.
Best Short Film category "Corti d'Autore":
- cash prize of € 1.000
- Pop Corn Festival Trophy
- Panalight Award of € 5.000 for cinema equipment rental
Best Short category "Opere Prime":
- cash prize of € 500
- Pop Corn Festival Trophy
- Panalight Award of 3.000 € for cinema equipment rental
"Raffaella Carrà" prize to the short film with the most original idea will receive a cash prize of € 4.000
Special Mentions: Pop Corn Festival Shield
Audience Award: Pop Corn Festival Trophy.
Winners are requested to insert the logo of the Festival in
the opening credits of the works awarded, together with
the prize awarded. Prizes will be awarded to the authors
or their representatives who will ensure their own
participation in the award ceremony.

This year, all works must be guided by the theme: “Freedom: shapes and colors of being humans”.

THE FESTIVAL INCLUDES TWO CATEGORIES:
Corti d’Autore: for professionals.
Opere Prime: open to all the debut film makers. This category may also include collective works done by schools and associations.
EACH SHORT FILM MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS:
Duration: up to 20 minutes, text and closing credits included.
Theme: All short films must adhere to the theme “Freedom: shapes and colors of being humans” proposed by the Festival.
Language: Italian, works in foreign languages are accepted as long as they have Italian or English subtitles.
Format: all kinds of formats are accepted, extension MOV, AVI, MP4, BLURAY including short films made with mobile phones, smart-phones, go-pro etc.
Short films also are already winners or participants to other festivals are also admitted. Each candidate can register one or more works.
METHODS OF PARTICIPATION:

20 works will be selected and they will participate in the Pop Corn Festival and will be submitted to the evaluation of an Artistic Jury composed of professionals of the sector, the composition of which will be announced on the website www.popcornfestivaldelcorto.it
Candidates whose work will be selected to participate in the Pop Corn Festival on 23/26 July 2020 will receive an e-mail notification by 8th June 2020 and they will have to fill the Application Form sent to them.
ALL SELECTED SHORTS:
• should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org NO LATER THAN 20th JUNE 2020
• supplemented by a list of dialogues in English and/or in Italian if in a foreign language.
• will have to be correlated with informative material such as: photo director, scene photo, poster of the short, synopsis, director biography, trailer etc.
All the material sent will be used to make the festival’s catalogue and for promotion on social media.
The judgments emerged from the votes of the Artistic Jury are unquestionable. The works presented may be Projected to the public in the manner and the programme established by the Organizing Committee.
The application to the competition Pop Corn Festival del Corto 2020 implies the full acceptance by the author of this announcement.
