S. J. Jananiy, a Multi-Global-Award-Winning Film Composer, Versatile Independent Musician, Carnatic & Hindustani Classical Vocalist, Western Classical Singer, Music Director, Playback Singer, Performer, Music Producer, Record Producer, Songwriter, Sound Engineer, Carnatic Keyboard Instrumentalist, Keyboardist/Pianist/Harmonium Player, Research Scholar. Records Violin/Veena & Percussions for own recordings.

Jananiy is a Recording Academy/Grammys Voting member.

She is an "A Grade" artist of All India Radio.

She was bestowed with the prestigious  "National Award" (Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar) in 2002 from the Government of India.

She has been bestowed with the coveted "Kalai Maamani" Award by the Government of Tamilnadu, for the year 2018.

Jananiy scored music for the Tamil Feature Film/Movie “Rail”, that was released on 21 June, 2024 for which she collaborated with the Bulgarian national Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sofia, Bulgaria.
