Poncho

Jack Everrett Sr. is a news reporter for KTGR when he is killed on the job. His son follows in his footsteps, a reporter for the very same KTGR. When the ratings look down, Jack Everrett Jr. takes initiative to bring back the spark from his dad’s old stories by investigating his death and mythbusting the local legend of “El Poncho.” He meets up with a conspiracy theorist, Lefty, who claims to know all about the Poncho. Lefty suggests they get help from the man behind the camera the day Jack Jr.’s father was killed: George Bristol. A recluse after the events of the past, George refuses their cry for help. But only until Jack Jr. reveals his identity. The trio travel to the forest to take on the Poncho, searching for hints of Poncho past. When things heat up, the Poncho takes his chance and kill’s Lefty. In an attempt to save Jack Jr.’s life, George sacrifices himself and too is killed. Jack Jr. later takes to the air to save the city from the Poncho, but the Poncho is always watching.
