Nathanael Wilson, a motion graphic designer, specializes in 2D and 3D motion design. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animation. Post graduating, being a Sports Creative was at the forefront of his mind. Growing up in Kentucky and moving to Tennessee, sports have been a part of his life for as long as he can remember, growing passionate about the art within the many teams. Becoming President of MTSU Ice Hockey, Nathanael was able to learn many organizational skills, along with making connections all over the country. He aims to help many organizations achieve their goals in engaging fans across the world, aiding in bringing home a world championship.
As a senior capstone film, I wanted this film to be a great
conclusion of what I have learned here in University, while also
aiming towards the future. Growing up, comic books and TV
shows with Marvel and DC characters were always my go to
on Saturday mornings. I still enjoy these things today, films
in the MCU along with fantastic superhero video games.
As a career, I want to work in sports for a professional
sports team, creating motion graphics to be displayed all
over many different forms of media for thousands, and even
millions of fans to enjoy. Being able to combine two major
aspects of my life for this film is something I find great joy
in.
The story and motive of the film is as if you are at a hockey
game. You are in your seat, waiting for the game to start. The
lights get dim and on the jumbotron a hype video plays to
pump up the fans. It is always one of my favorite parts of
getting to go to a game. I wanted to give the fans a different
aspect of what their team truly means to them, as it can help
save them in times of trouble and bring some of the best
moments of life. Combining aspects of 3D and 2D, I am aiming
to bring a form of film that is new to the sports world. I hope
sports fans and non-sports fans alike can find something
speaking to them from the film.
