Official Selection
Kevin Scott was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1988. He graduated with a first-class honours degree in Film & Television Production from the National Film School at IADT, Dún Laoghaire in 2021.
His first fiction short, 'A Good Deed', was developed in conjunction with VIEWFINDER, the Erasmus Mundus Joint MA in Cinematography. It was awarded 'First Runner-Up' in the Irish Shorts category of the 2021 Light in Motion competition at the Oscar- and BAFTA-affiliated Foyle Film Festival, and has been officially selected by several major national festivals.
His 2019 short documentary 'Please Be Seated' won Best Documentary Short at the 2020 Clones Film Festival and competed for the Grand Prix Documentary Short at the 65th Cork International Film Festival, and was selected by several major film festivals including Entr’2 Marches Film Festival, Cannes.
Kevin was Director of Photography on 'I Appear Missing', a 2020 student short selected for the First Frames Competition at the 2020 Dublin International Film Festival.
He is currently developing a short film project based on Aristophanes’ 'The Birds'.
He lives in Co. Kildare with his partner Jenny and daughter Alex.
