Playin' with Fire

On a cool summer night, a Cowboy smokes a cigarette outside his barn. As he finishes his cigarette, he throws it to the ground and a flame ignites. From this, Fire, a 2-inch humanized flame, is born. As Fire explores the barn, he finds a beautiful sunflower. Full of curiosity, and lacking any restraint, he reaches out to touch it. But, at his touch, the flower burst into flames. Taken aback, Fire accidentally bumps into a watering can. A drop of water falls from the can and thus, Water is born. At the sight of the flaming flower, Water rushes to put it out. Fire enjoys the game he thinks they're playing, but Water isn't messing around. He ignites the flower once more and dashes off. As soon as she puts the fire out, she chases after him. Thus starts their high-stakes game of tag. Fire continues to try and ignite various objects on fire, but Water is always right behind him to extinguish them. A little too curious, Fire lights a match from a matchbox and lobs it at Water. Sick of his antics, Water makes an attempt to stop Fire by trapping him in a mason jar. Although she was successful, the mason jar begins to snuff out his flame. Fire shrinks smaller and smaller, Water hastily tries to lift up the mason jar, but just a second too late. Ash is all that is left of Fire as Water throws the mason jar off of him. Remorseful, Water searches for something that can save him. She spots the matchbox from afar and makes her way towards it. Climbing over obstacles, she makes it to the matchbox. Glancing over to the ashes, she sees the embers are growing dimmer and dimmer. Frantically, she leaps off the desk, nearly hurting herself, and makes a mad dash towards the ashes. Realizing she'll be too late, she whips out a matchstick, lights it, and hurls it at the ashes, praying it will make it in time. The match stick flies through the air, landing perfectly onto the ashes. It's set ablaze, fire growing all around it. Water watches in awe as she sees the flames turn into her dear friend Fire. Fire looks around in joy seeing that he's been brought back to life. Water greets him with a giant hug, reunited once again.
