Platypus Quest

In this adventure comedy short film, silly little Platypus wants to join the Adventurer’s Guild to become a hero, but two bullies block his path. They decide to trick him into leaving by telling him to go slay a dragon, sending the Platypus on his deadly quest to “pay” the Dragon. On his journey he encounters dangerous monsters and traps before reaching the peak of the Dragon’s tower.

Director Biography - Elizabeth Rivera

Elizabeth Rivera, director of Platypus Quest, is an animation storyboard artist who came up with the initial idea for the short. She has previously worked as a producer and animatic editor on the short film Buzz Off, however Platypus Quest is the first film she had a directing and leading storyboard artist role in.

"The idea came to me spontaneously one day during the summer before our Senior animation class. I thought it was so ridiculous, so stupid in fact, that I knew it needed to be made. Our team had an incredibly fun time creating this nonsense and I hope that our viewers can see that. I wouldn't trade this team for the world!"
