Kayla Mulholland is a visual anthropologist and clinical social worker in the San Diego-Tijuana region. She has worked with migrant communities in San Francisco, San Diego and Tijuana for over 10 years. Kayla was awarded a research grant through Mexico's Secretaria de Salud - Programa de Investigación en Migración y Salud for her studies on migration and its impact on family systems. In 2018, she was awarded the National Consuelo W. Gosnell Scholarship for her dedication to working with indigenous/Latinx migrant communities. Her ethnographic research and media projects focus on migration and its real life psycho-social impact.
